Description: The QRF-1 data generator is designed to send a known, repeating data message ("Quick Red fox"), at a selectable Baud rate with an 8N1 data word for system testing.
A direct interface is made through the DB25 male connector that is wired DTE to mate with a DCE wire or "wireless" modem. A slide switch enables the RTS and the data message and the RTS will go positive before the message is sent. At the end of the message, the RTS will drop following a short delay. If the switch is still enabled and after a pause, the sequence repeats at a 50% on to off transmission cycle.
SPECIFICATIONS: DB25 male, DTE, EIA/RS232 interface. 300 to 38.4K selectable Baud rates. RTS enabled before data is active. 2.1mm +12v @ 50ma power & connector. Compact size: 3.5" x 2 x.75".
